Spring has not Sprung

I should move! weather is far from spring like, I´m on my 40th bottle of cough medicine since March and quite honestly starting to like the taste of them things...Until this all starts to heat up and feel like summer is just around the corner, the virus´ going around on this island will never clear up and not one soul has asked for blood tests to know whats going on here but who am I....But really...the weather has been mehhhhhhhhhhhh..does make for some cool shots though lol

Holiday today

Not so much for me as I had to go to the guesthouse but all in all a busy weekend, with the religious festivities and then my team winning (GO BENFICA!!). Since my last post,mothers day has come and gone, a quick emergency medical trip to Terceira but all is fine now. 3 flights in less than a year, drug free!! woohooo! Lets see how the next flight goes pill free...slow and steady is always the way to go, baby steps when it comes to flying but I´ll somehow, some day manage it! On the photography front, still learning the ropes but I try...I do try. 

Now off to enjoy the rest of the holiday...or pretend to.

Crazy weather

Yes its been crazy, to the point that one wakes up in the morning to see white fields..wth?! its not snow but hail is just as cold. Crazy yes but it does make for some great shots!

Adventures

A few taken last year, another one taken this weekend... testing the waves on the western side of the island, variation of waves up to 5 meters, a bit scary at times when you´re on a boat and just see a wall of water coming straight at you , a few moments of seeing your life flash right in front of your eyes but a fantastic experience!! I was only on that boat because the skipper is probably one of the very few people I trust with my life and the surfer also very experienced. An amazing afternoon for sure.

what a week!

Its been non stop since last Friday, sports championships, guesthouse and shooting scenes for a soap opera that´s been running for a while now, (must confess, never watched it and had to google the actors that were arriving as to not make a fool of myself lol)... It was a great experience to say the least, exciting, exhausting and some stressed moments and most of the times its not as glamorous as many people think, trust me on this one.You´re slipping and sliding down slopes, mud everywhere, falling asleep in the corners away from the cameras or simply just sitting there waiting for the right shooting moment.  Was in charge for the photography part, which was fun and something I simply love doing! Met some great people and made fantastic friends, all in all, another great experience!

after a week of smiling selfies and photos, the last one had to be like this ..the main actress, Sara Prata and myself sending love to everyone on facebook :) 

We worked like mad for five days but in the end it was worth it.
